P+C for Kell

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

I LOVE this plant - I had 2 large ones on each side of a stairway last year. Now - apparently it isn't an easy plant but it's been good for me. So maybe the hot, humid growers should jump in as you are in CA.

that's a beauty. btw, it was trish (MzM) who told me it certainly wasn't a favorite because it didn't bloom enough. i just had no patience for it. then again it could have been where i had it planted.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Liz, mine wants to be like yours when it grows up!

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

This was last year - I'm ashamed to say that I never got back and took a picture when it was actually blooming. This year I am determined to take pictures of each and every one. I'll try not to be a brug bore. Not promising anything though. LOL

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Thanks Liz. You could never be a brug bore. That is a striking plant. Huge leaves. The flowers are so skinny. How about the fragrance? Where I am in California I think is more like you. No humidity, 70s during the day and 60s at night (sweater weather). Isn't that more like you Liz?

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Wow! That's a beauty.I'm with tiG, I hope mine grows up to be like yours.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Kell . . . I would love to have weather like you have. It sounds perfect!

I agree BrugNanny. I wilt in the heat and no amount of water revives me!! Well, maybe if it is ice in a cool vodka tonic with plenty of lemon!!! I have yet to have my first one of the season but the first hot day if it is a weekend and I shall enjoy!

Kell,
We don't wilt here we just plain old melt. LOL
