Fayette, MO(Zone 6a)

We are starting to do the beat the heat schedule. up earlier and lay low in the heat of the afternoon. I have a pretty weedy perennial bed that I wanted to get weeded before we got busy. I moved a couple of plants from unhappy spots , thinking they might do better in this full sun bed. I even got the plant EvaMae brought me planted.

We are having vehicle problems again. We hadn't had time to get our old truck to the meintenance guy, was happy to get our car fixed and running when it stopped on us again. Phooey.. I really don't want to buy another vehicle and make any payments. We'll see how it goes.
Just came back from outside. The boys showed up with the car running and Hubby seems to think we just need a new battery. That's not so bad. Now to get the truck to repair. you don't realize how much you use something until you don't have it. We need to haul lambs to market next.
My best friend and I are going to a daylilly field day today if I can get her to leave the hay fields for a second. That might be tricky. If not I will go alone bringing my straw hat and bottle of water. It is really hot and humid, but best buddies tractor has air conditioning and CD player so not feeling so sorry for her.
The daylilly farm is another effort of a farm in these parts to make cash in a different way. When I was a kid you seldom saw anyone selling flowers, all soybeans, corn, cattle and hogs. With the world market ever changing We are becoming more diversified. I thinking I'm preaching to the choir here.
Hubby wants me to help him find a powercord. gotta go. have a good one.
