Fayette, MO(Zone 6a)

Good Morning from a Hot and Humid Midwest farm. Many things I love about summer though. My favorite thing to do in the summer is picking blackberries. Since I have been laid up I haven't checked to see how the crop is. EvaMae, I will keep you posted on the wild plums. If you are interested. I would love to get a start of your elderberries. I love to mix the elderberries and wild plums for jelly. Now that you know where I is, don't be a stranger.
I'm feeling so much better. But if hubby tells me to rest and relax one more time.. He is off on weekends so can keep an eye on me better. don't do that , don't lift that. pooey! Hard to be quiet when I feel so much better. But gotta let that back heal up.
Going to my Brother's (just across the hollow) today. My cousin is coming for a visit. The only thing I'm suppose to bring is a gallon of ice cream. I usually cook up something. But sis-in-law just wants me to relax. When I told her I was off from work for six weeks, she jumped for joy. Oh, goodey, I can come over more and watch the kids and give her a break. No lifting involved. I have to laugh. Everyone has a different plan for me on my "quiet" time off from work. My youngest daughter has a list of books for me to read. Hubby is stacking up all the shirts and pants to repair. He even went so far as to buy me buttons and new thread.
My lone bantam rooster is telling me I better come outside for that second cup of coffee. Think I will get my plant trade ready to run to the P.O. Am expecting a package from the lady that I'm trading with today , so will be looking for the post. This kind of heat would melt a plant in the mail box.
EvaMae, how is the hay coming at your place? Cause I am hoping for a little rain here now. Maybe I could get rain and it miss you for a change.
