I bought passiflora "incense" around the first of may it was about 6in tall, it is now about 10in will it grow enough this season to bloom?? The place where I bought it said that once the ground warms up it will just take off like crazy....I haven't seen that crazy part yet??? It gets full sun in the afternoon, I water it sometimes every other day, not always I have not fed it yet only gave it some fertilome transplant stimulator---helps eliminate shock and encourages new root growth after transpalnting. I keep seeing all your beautiful photos and I'm wondering when my little guy will bloom???
Thanks,
Becky
passiflora question.
I am in Lima, Ohio. My Incense is the one P. Fl. that really bloomed for me all last summer. It is just growing new shoots right now, but certainly look for it to bloom all summer again. We are having a very late "spring". As soon as it stays warm for over 3-4 days, think they will start blooming. Sure hope so!
Thanks Hibiscus,
Is your p."incense" hardy there??? I was hopoing mine would be I'm 20 min. south of Toledo.
Thanks again,
Becky
Aimee sent me Incence. It was cut back, about a foot or less tall. I planted it in a pot and it's got to be 3 feet tall now. I don't think I've had it more than 4 or 5 weeks.
Mine is growing like crazy. A good doze of bloom booster will help passiflora. I'm guess here, but think mine is probably about six foot up the trellis and has some buds now. Thanks goes to Gloria (Hibiscus) for this one.
