What a beautiful rose, I just love roses that bloom this full and don't fall apart, is it fragant?

I forgot to watch this thread! Pleased you like it. Very classical, but still easy going.
Did you both try it?

(Zone 5a)

No I didn't but it's just as well because of all the roses I lost in the last two years because of flooding.

Oh, so sorry windsurffer :(
Perhaps now is the time.......?

My garden hasn't dried out since last spring. I know that's hard to believe but it rained every day last spring and summer with only two days a month (in summer) without rain.

Here is the kicker( are you sitting down?) we even had thunder storms here this winter and my garden flooded again.I was afraid that it would flood my home, you know when it kills weeds it's bad. My yard is now nothing but mud with small patches of grass. Now if that wasn't bad enough, winter returned and so I had and ice skating ring in my backyard. It is raining as I type this and has been for the last three days.

Even my whiskey barrels were flooded and then frozen, if my tree rose( planted in whiskey barrel) makes it I will be very surprised.

I was heartbroken when I lost my Monet rose not once but twice due to flooding. This year I am going to buy some cement blocks that stand about 2' tall and put my planters on top of them. I don't care if I have to hand cut the grass to keep from moving them, that is what the Old Bucket complains about now, moving planters to cut grass lol.

I am not trying to get simpthy but just stating the facts and will post a photo so you can see what I mean. I would love to have this beautiful rose but don't want to loose it.

See what I mean. My goodness some of the weeds did make it and aren't they lovely *giggle*

Another lovely growth of weeds and mud lol.
I did have all my containers stacked neatly beside the fence but thanks to the strong winds they are scattered everywhere and I am not about to straighten them up again.

A truly heartbreaking situation ws - I had no idea!
Will be keeping my fingers crossed for you that the spring comes to you soon and brings a change of climate.
It's SO dispiriting to work hard and acquire the plants and effect you are striving for, only to have it taken away so you have to start over.

I do hope the new season brings you much better things and you can turn things around to how you pictured them
Best wishes for that

Thanks, and I do hope it doesn't rain that much this spring. I have enough showers for my May flowers lol.
