Transplant "Cocktail" for Brugs

Hamilton, Canada

I've tried something new with transplanting brugs to be grown in pots. Instead of the transplants becoming arrested with trying to accommodate more root growth in the larger pot they just continue growing as if they were undisturbed.

"Joyce's Brug Cockail" for transplanting

Mix 1 tablespoons of Bone Meal "Super Green" by Manchester 2-11-0 "Organic" into 2-5 gallons of potting soil. Bone Meal slowly releases its nutrients promoting root development and vegetative growth of lateral branches.

Disolve 1 tablespoon of Epson Salts (Magnesium Sulphate)per 10 gallons of water. Enhances greening of plant leaves.

Stir in 1 tablespoon of Miracle Grow Ultra Bloom Plant food:
10-52-10 (promotes rapid bloom growth)into same 10 gallons of water noted above.

Pot up transplant into 2-5 gallon container and water thoroughly until water exits the holes in bottom of pot.

Further discoveries:

Misting leaves with diluted fertilizer darkens faded or pale green leaves within a couple of days. 1 tablespoon of Miracle Grow Ultra Bloom in 10 gallons of water. This has to be done early in the morning or in the evening just after the sun goes down in order that the leaves are not scorched by the sun.

Joydie....thanks for the tip....keep your formula written down some where.....we could use it if we compile a growers guide from everyones experiences. :-)

looks like a sound recipe. I will try it with the next batch that I transplant.

Good formula, Joydie :-)

Kyle, bright idea! Together we have both made all the possible mistakes and also all the good stuff lol
