Well now, Kell - that is simply gorgeous. A perfect size. But then, as far as I'm concerned any size is perfect for a sanguinea.
An aside - - what happened to the copyright line? I'd hate for someone to steal your picture (like me for instance).

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Please let me know if it is small enough. I think we did it wrong because there is white all the way around the picture now, but it still may make your download faster. tiG, I looked and looked for a place to save it as a certain size (640x480) but could not find it. Shirley is giving me private lessons but I want to try to learn my Adobe Deluxe home Edition before I get into another program for I am easily confused. I know it is easy to do if only I had a clue! Does anyone here have the same program as I am using that would be willing to give a lesson to clueless in california??? thanks

Hi Liz......please tell me do you know what the name is of this one? I finally found a seed pod on it ( I had cut it off with out knowing I was doing it). So does that mean it is not a hybrid? And if that assumption is correct, then it is capable of self pollination and all the seeds from it would be exact replicas of the parent plant??
And.........was I supposed to put in a copyright line or Dave's was?

Kell, that is simply stunning! and the photo is perfect size etc.

it should have a place when you're uploading, asking if you own the picture, it's checked by default. leave it checked. I don't know why you have the white space unless your picture wasn't big enough in the first place and it enlarged the canvas size. I don't have that program. if you download irfanview (do a google search) it will give you great options to resize. Doesn't do everything, but once you get the picture right in Adobe, you can resize in irfraview.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Hi tiG, no the picture I thought was too big because the first pic i posted the other day was too big so I resized it by dragging the corners in but that left the white around it. I think I will post another with out resizing and see if maybe it fixed itself from my first picture post the other day............she says ever hopeful! if that fails I will resort to irfanview as you suggest which is what Shirley told me to do in the first place.

Hi Kelley :-)
Both your picture and the sang looks fantastic lol
Keep them coming :-)

i wonder if ur digital camera came with it's own software? what camera are u using, if it is not too much to ask.

i use a Toshiba PDR-M61, it has its own software that one can edit photos and change photo size. so far, i have only use the photo change size function under Images.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

MaVieRose, hi! It is a canon and it came with adobe photo deluxe. But guess what, I would not be so cluless if I read all of the instruction book. It turns out I can set the camera BEFORE I take the picture to what size I want and one of the sizes is what tiG told me was the correct size - 640x480. Thank God my husband is not as clueless as I am!!
Nothing to do but go out and get another for a test!

High Desert, CA(Zone 8a)

Kell ... reading instructions intimidates me. all i do is take pictures and played around with the software till i get accustomed to all the functions incorporated into the software of the camera.

i guess i am luckier, cause most of the functions i normally use is within the software. there are numerous function on the camera itself, but that i have to learn the hard way by 'fooling' around with the camera i guess ;).

what mattered the most for now is to be able to take photos to keep record of plants i grow around here. btw... i am also in Ca., down south from u. i am in the high desert by El Cajon Pass on I-15. once in a blue moon i do visit my son in Menlo Park, Ca. in one of my visit is where i get introduced to brugmansia in a neighborhood in San Mateo, where every single house has 3-6 brug trees on each yard. that was an awesome experience, not only to see the lovely flowers and the exotic fragrance in the midst of winter.

Oh Kelley, I'm so jealous. This picture is just beautiful. I'm still waiting on mine to set a bloom. The color in this picture is really great.

I'd like to help you, Kell, with a name but nobody seems to attach names to them. Kartuz calls the all red - Inca Queen and the all yellow, Inca Princess. But you know this because that's where you got yours. Everybody else calls them sanguinea red and sanguinea yellow. As much as I love them best, I think they are the wayward children (namewise) of the brug family.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Kell - I use the Adobe photo deluxe program for my pics. If you need some help I can give you the steps I go through. It's really very simple once you do it a couple of times.

Saint Petersburg, FL(Zone 9b)

kell... if you can set your camera for 600X400 pixel's thats the standard size for posting pic on the net

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

Kell, it is absolutely beautiful. I grew mine from seed
this winter. Does anyone know how long it takes them usually to bloom from seed?

Kell, the more I look at it the more I fall in love with it...
