Lisa, don't you overdo it either. Being in a new place is so exciting and it seems you want everything done at once. Wish I could see you and Shoe sell your "wares" at your farmer's market sometime.
Kathleen, I know you must have some beautiful roses. Would love for you to post pics sometimes. I will need to retry the roses that I dug and planted right before my hospital stay. They will be there when I go back to try again. They are so pretty. and the one is an old yellow one. very very thorny thing. It's growing on an old homestead root cellar that my friend's own.
I don't know if I told this one , but the last two heifers hubby and I bought at auction were wild wild wild. The one broke through all the fences I chased her for miles until she went into a large wooded area. I finally said she'd herd up somewhere and sure enough she liked the neighbor's cows more than mine. The son has her penned and will bring her over sometime next week to corral her and then we will take her back to the auction barn. Hope to buy a more gentle animal with the money when we get back. Wish I could travel out west and buy some more cow calf pairs. They are going pretty down the line , but of course, right now I look at all this grass and should know that it won't be here all winter.
I am having so much trouble staying quiet with this injury. I almost sleep with my shovel. But! No digging, no lifting... etc.... I can seem to transplant littler plants and set and weed around some. Hubby mowed some tall grass in the yard so may use that to mulch my maters. Three little romas are set on one of them. Can't WAIT for the tomatoes!
