well the leaves certainly don't look like Dr Suess. it's really pretty. i feel i have met a special challenge today, i almost tried to stand on my head to look at it, but enlarging it works just fine!

Poppy, it is (much) related to Charles Grimaldi or a hybrid, not known to me, Dr Suess. We have only CG in Europe. Its a beautiful flower, no matter if CG or Dr. Suess. Breeding for so many years, nothing comes close in quality to CG.

Poppy, its also similar to the golden hybrid I posted a short while ago. Mine has serrated leaves and the flowers start out yellow and then in a couple of days they change to golden. In the GH, where I bought it, the flowers also went from golden to deep orange.

Thanks for your imput. Liz seems to think most brugs here on Vancouver Island are Dr Seuss so I guess I'll go with that. Unfortunately the two sources locally just label them yellow, pink or white! I'm trying to educate them but to no avail. I'm hoping Jeannie and Liz can get them turned around. One greenhouse operator admitted to me that she was tickled to get picture tags for brugs and just used them. I just bought a baby pink off her with a tag that says Pink Frost. The yellow one I also bought from her and it said Jamacian Yellow so you can see what I'm up against here!!!
thanks everyone for your help.
