i got a recipe from a good desert book, everything in there turned out beautifully except for the crust. i'm hopeless have tried so many times. good thing my roommates are just grateful to have pie, don't complain much- they just eat teh inside and leave the crust. its hard. so i've been told that you shouldn't mix it too much. but i don't know how to not and still be able to roll it out into a sheet. more water maybe?
so lately i've started experimenting with graham crackers delicious and oh so much easier. might stick to that, i'm just about to give up on the old fashion flaky pie crust.
there's a vegan recipe that's supposed to be really good out there.
thanks for any ideas. my roommate used to be a baker but it's so frustrating because he just makes comments like use cold water.
i have. i thought i followed it pretty good, what does coarse meal look like anyway? they say cut the butter in until it's the texture of coarse meal.
q
pie crust recipe anyone?
