My Little Paradise

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Just had to take this picture early this morning. I go out every morning when I awake and sit outside and look at what's changed and listen to the birds. Hubby and I sit out here every evening because it is so peaceful and relaxing. We still have more work to do to complete our project but that does not stop us from enjoying it now.

This is so beautiful even angels use it for a resting place! I am so impressed! Don't you love the garden early in the morning. I go out and the air is still crisp and cool and drink my hot cup of tea. Starts the day out off right! from now on though, I will be drinking my second cup of tea in your backyard!

Brugnannie.......what is the pink one? I am desperate for a big flowered pink one!

BrugNanny,

That is a breathtakingly beautiful garden. Awesome!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Liz, if it works out I will send you a rooted cutting (she said confidently.....though my orange sang is rooting just in water), you do not have the yellow right? yes kartuz. I have 2 pink volcanica, 1 from kartuz and last weekend I went to the prettiest nursery, Western Hills Nursery in Occidental. They have a private garden attached that they invite you to wander through. It is AMAZING!!!I got sev. Iochroma cyaneum that I got just because of the postings here and a large volcanica amongst others. I could not resist the volcanica even though I had just gotten the one from kartuz. The Western one was 1 foot tall and very healthy. The other one I am not sure will make it, for some reason they all came with yellow leaves. I didn't want to shock them further so I let them sit quietly all week but last night after little improvement, I took them out of their pots and found that they are so root bound so I repottd them up. I am hoping they will perk up. Maybe I should take a picture of them..........LOL

Frannie, your place just keeps getting better and better.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Hey everyone . . thanks for all the feedback. You do know that all of you are responsible for this!!! It all started with brug cuttings after I joined DG's in Jan. of this year. See what those brugs do to you - there is just no stopping. LOL Oh! how I love it and all of you who inspire at DG's. Thanks. Life is so good.

Kell the large pink one is one that my sister bought at a nursery and you guessed it - the label said "Pink" I do not know enough about brugs to know which one it is but you are more than welcome to a cutting just email me.

Tonny . . you must put in some type of waterfall in your garden for Lene - believe me, she will be forever grateful to you and you will also love the peaceful and serene sound of the water trickling down over the rocks. It will be worth every minute of work.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

It looks beautiful - and the Brugs love it. A waterfall raises the humidity.
