Gloria . . here is a picture as of this evening. It was yellow today but now it is white. If it does not turn light pink then it may not be Waltraum. At least, I think that is the color Waltraum is suppose to be. I probably need to check some sites. If I find something on it, I will post.
Waltraum for Gloria
Ms Brugnanny, it that turns light pink in the morning please add me to your list for cuttings!! it looks like it is fragrant.
Arlene . . let's hope it turns pink and I will surely send you a cutting.
That is a beauty. If there is a list line I will fall in behind for a cutting also.
me too. would love to add this in the fall if possible, it's lovely
Add me to the list too.
Okay, I'm here too..........with my hand out. :-)
Thanks Frannie....
Ms. Frannie, should i have emailed you? lol... i think i started a train.
OK everyone . . . keep all fingers and toes crossed. It just has to turn pink because I would love to send all of you a rooted cutting later on.
I did not find a Waltraum but a Waltraud and the Waltraud is a light pink. Ladies we will have wait until tomorrow and see if pink starts coming thru.
Is it a european Brug, maybe Waltraud?
photo of Waltraud from H.J. Gommer site ... http://www.kwekerijgommer.com/fotos/Brugmansia/Waltraud.HTM
may i please be added on ur list Frannie? Thanks :).
Add me to your list please, this is so beautiful~
Sorry Frannie......I just let my brain start working and see that you posted for Gloria. I jumped in with both feet. If you don't have cutting material, please don't worry about mine. I can get one from you next year. Think you know me well enough that it won't bother me a bit to wait. :-)
Frannie,
Thanks for posting the picture and do keep us up dated on the color. This Waltraum is a Waltraum X ? that I started from seed so who knows what it might look like. I have one getting ready to bloom in the next week or so and maybe it will be different.
Brugie . . . I meant the picture was for Gloria. You know anything that I have is yours!! I was so hoping that it would have started turning pink but it has not :( and I don't think it will. Let's hope that Gloria's bud will turn out to be light pink. Gloria, I did not see the X on the label but it could be that I just cannot see LOL or it got rubbed off. I am going out to pollinate with Isabella and E. Pink. It is such a pretty flower and appears to be a good bloomer because it is small and has many flowers. If anyone wants a start from this lovely plant, let me know.
Frannie
Even if it isn't turning pink it is still very pretty and yes I would like a start.
as all my other brugs, my waltraud is healthy looking, just no where near blooming.
such is life
jen
Jen,
Your too is from a seed...maybe I forgot to put that on the label.....I have been known to forget from time to time. LOL
gloria, i have #18, lol..of all the ones i have, i anticipate seeing a bud on this one for the first time.
Jen,
How's Your Mom? Keep me updated on the Waltraum Hybrid.
ill email you
Frannie,
I have three flowers that opened on my Waltraum Hybrid tonight but so far they are all white....did yours ever turn pink?
Glory . . no mine did not turn pink. There is still a chance that yours might. Keep us posted.
Frannie,
Mine is still white but looks nothing like yours...this happens when you grow Brugs from seeds. So far mine looks like Insignis Frosty Pink that has stayed white but every flower has 6 points on it. I will get a picture later today. Isn't this exciting!!!!!
i was wondering if there is any candida influence here...just kinda looked like one to me.
been wrong too many times before, tho, lol
Frannie,
I would love to have a cutting of this, too, if you have enough.
That is a really pretty flower - even if it stays that color. It looks very sturdy - like it's gonna last a long time.
Dee . . I will put you down for a cutting and Poppysue, you are right - - it is a sturdy bloom.
may i please be next in line for a cutting? TIA :)!
