It finally happened, here is a pic of my very first pink brug & I don't know it's name. I got it from Arlene last fall. This is the first of any this year, what a thrill. It just started opening today, so by tomorrow it will be fuller I'm sure - any ideas?? The leaves are not serrated but sort of rumpled on the edges.
Finally, here is my very first!!
Azalea, i was gonna say i though it was isabella, i had a lot of isabella cuttings last fall, but the leaves look ruffly to me. are they? nice looking plant and pretty bloom. maybe i should do a better job trying to keep the bugs off.
Congrat's so beautiful~
Azalia the color is a lot like mine but the leaves look different.. this is my 1st one too..

Yes, they are ruffled, so does this mean it is Isabella??
congrats.... that will make you want even more.looks like isabella to me
No,Azale, it means it's probably "my frosty pink"..... can't remember what else i sent you but probably dr suess that i called JO......
the flowers usually open at dusk the first evening, all white, by morning they are changing colors. sometimes the flowers stand straight out so you can see inside them and theey look so pretty then.
It is pretty...how's about if we call it Frosty Isabella. LOL
Congratulations Azalea!!
Azalea, Isn't it exciting to get your first bloom? And such a pretty one at that.

Yes, it is exciting - it's been a long winter. I love the color too - it is such a bright rosy pink with the creamy white "upper part" (Botanical term). This thing was yellow yesterday and I though sure it was one like I already had. What a wonderful surprise to see the pretty pink bloom this morning. I'm sure it will look different by tomorrow whe it finishs opening. Thanks again Arlene for what ever it is!
Azalea, you're very welcome, it looks beautiful, so does the plant.
