Alley with some deco.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

You all will be sick of looking at my alley. LOL.
DH went shopping and bought some decorations for the Brug alley. There is a garden Angel playing a windchime harp under the arbor and some painted glass balls. He put my birdbath at the beginning of the alley surrounded by Pansies. Also put in another line of Brugs next to the first lines. All this done today after going to Drs. on Friday and being diagnosed with tendonitis in his arm. Poor guy is about dead tonight.

Terry, you guys are working your you know whats off aren't you? It is looking really good and I'm sure you will be walking down that alley daily just to look and smell the flowers. I'm not close to much bloom yet, but I still have to do my morning, noon, and night time checks. As if anything is going to grow that much in a few hours. :-)
Enjoy your pictures very much.

Yes Brugie, After being gone almost a week and just getting back yesterday evening, I was welcomed by many blooms and buds. Isabella, Cypress Garden, Equador Pink, Whiskers, Candida Double White, Dr. Seuss, Frosty Pink, Suave. White, Veris Peach, Waltrund. It was so exciting to see so many type blooms. I love it!!!!!!!! In the next couple of days, I will take some pictures of the garden. Hopefull there will be many more in bloom then. It's so good to be home.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Snow, your DD and mine have one thing in common...my DH eats 2-3 gallons a week, kids rarely get any! it looks really good.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

LOL Arlene, Funny how guys can eat all kinds of junk food and not gain wait. I eat one meal a day(supper) and drink water and diet soda and I gain weight. Dr says I'm not eating enough. Go figure!

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Snow, your hubby deserves a big hug! Its beautiful.

My hubby asksm what kind of soil you have. He figured it to be part clay - sand mix.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Snow, i think there's something to that. DH has 32 waist, 6'2". eats as much meat in a day as i do in 2 weeks.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Monika, Your hubby is half right. There is a lot of clay in the soil. Would like some more sand though. We sometimes go to the sand pit down the road and bring back a few buckets of sand to add to the soil.

Mme Blin has it in her garden, as soon as it rains, its just as slippery as a ice patch. But her Brugmansias love it and together with the mild climate in the Rhine Valley, she has the ideal growing conditions. I talked to her the other day, she will be 80 years old in November. The Brugmansias make her forget the pains and aches of age, she said.

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

Snow, your garden looks absolutely stunning! Your brugs have a good height on them, and the making of a brug alley that we will all be envious of. What a nice husband you have, mine is just the opposite...I really have to rpod him to mow the lawn.
Monika, I have clay soil too, and am glad to hear that brugs do well in this type of soil.

Frannie,
Could you post a picture of your Waltraum?

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Gloria . . I will post a picture within the next couple of days. I think the blooms will be open then. I believe I got this cutting from you and I also thought that I read somewhere that it was a light pink. It looks pretty yellow to me right now . . will have wait and see if it turns pink.

Snow it is absolutely looking great :-))) It must have taken a lot of good work to set it all up and plant out, but the result are absolutely stunning lol In a month or two maybe the Brugs will be so large, that you and your DH can walk under them as in a tunnel :-)
