Star of Bethlehem
What are you wanting in trade for them?
Whoa... Dave, what happened to the 3 earlier posts to this thread? Mom24Cats, I have about 40-50 very small bulbs left, but don't know if the freeze get them last night, as I had left them ouit on my deck, although wrapped.. Wouldn't trade until I know... what have you in return? I don't need much in return... my trade list does not list all I want... I am open to suggestions.
Darius, If you are still looking for lamb's ears, I could trade some for some stars of bethlehem. Let me know. Mick
Star of Bethlehem only blooms in April. I will have them in abundance this next
spring. They are a wonderful addition to any spring bulb garden.
I will have hundreds of them available this fall. Let me know what you have in trade. I am a zone 5 - Northern Illinois - so any thing that grows here is welcome.
I plant it. If it grows and is purty I keep it. If it is ugly I dig it out. If it dies I find something else to plant there!
A word of caution concerning star of bethlehem. If they get in your lawn and start to multiply they can be a little hard to control!! I have mine in beds where I plant annuals around them to cover the bare spots when they are done blooming. The greenery dies back as soon as they are done blooming leaves a bare spot during the summer. They are gorgeous though when they bloom!
