Here is poor little Whiskers way back here by himself.
Whiskers in the back 40
what a beauty Glory, I think he needs some company...
Pebble,
In time he'll have company...as soon as some of the trees grow up...it's so hot in the back yard full sun most of the day.
Glory, i have some in all day sun, sun up to 5-6 pm and they don't wilt, but then put watersorb in the holes. it finally started raining last week, 2 months of almost 0 rain, did water a lot but i wouldn't have grass left if i hadn't. mine growing in just morning sun seem to have leaves only on the eastern side.
Arlene,
I'll try those crystals with this Whiskers...sometime I have to water it twice a day and I have an automatic sprinkler system back there....it's just awful ground there and it gets so dry very fast. I don't think I have any naked sides on my Brugs that are in shade...guess I'll have to check and see.
Glory, mine are in fairly deep shade after 10-11 in the morning, i was noticing them tonight. they have huge leaves, and are starting to bloom, are pretty tall, but their back sides are pretty bare. Your whiskers is gorgeous. i have some in pots i have to water at least twice a day, wondering what to do with them! i have icky soil too, sand with limestone chunks in places, need a pick axe to get them out! i planted a pink beauty i got from barb straight into the ground with the watersorb, next to BF, and they have both gone crazy. i finally understand eric's thing about aurea's there are really nice. Jessie Noel has buds, am excited to see!
Glory, I wish I had a back 40 that was a nice as yours. Especially if it had a Whiskers that was blooming too. She is a pretty plant and I'm checking mine every day for a Y. I really like the serrated leaves on her too. Great looking brug. I've used a lot of the watersorb crystals this year. Can't really tell if they are working yet as the plants aren't that big now.
Glory, She's beautiful. Mine has buds on it but it will be a while yet till they open. Love your arbor with the swing.
Really pretty Glory. It does look lonely though.
I guess if I live long enough I'll end up with Brugs all back here some day . LOL
