Back home again

It is good to be back again. I have not been here in several months. Our house burned in September and it is just now finished (2 weeks ago) so I can finally relax and work on my yard again. YEA! It has been a long "row to hoe" dealing with the insurance companies, and I am glad that is just about over now (still waiting on the last check) I have been in touch with a few of you through email, but I just wanted to say Hi to everyone else. You guys are just great!

Toadlilly, I haven't met you before, as I just came on in mid-September...but a big HOWDY from an old lady in AZ! I know that was a very traumatic thing having your house burn. Glad you are back. Jo

Yes it was difficult, but we are past most of that now. Still having to hash it out with the insurance company. I am just so happy that we all got out. The fire started while we were sleeping and only me and my 4 children were home (DH was at work). I was burned, but not badly and everything heeled well.
Glad you joined DG. I am sure that you will find, if you haven't already, that the people here are the kind of people that will do anything for you. Even people I didn't know sent word of encouragement, offered clothes and such, and kept up with how I was doing. They really kept me level headed during the hole thing.
I am glad to be back among friends!

Glad to have you back Toad, didn't know about the circumstances of your disappearance. What a devastating experience to suffer through, but so glad all the family is okay and you bounced back!

Thanks for the welcome back. Things just got so busy with dealing with the insurance company and the rebuilding and all, that everything fun took a back burner. It was all I could do to keep up with all of that plus working a full time job, and keeping up with my 4 children and all of thier extra caricular activities. My oldest son shows animals and Jan-March is pretty much taken up with him and taking his animals to Dallas, Ft. Worth, Houston, and San Antonio. I am still waiting on the insurance for a check, but that is another story, LOL

I'll bet you have really had your hands full. It is timeconsuming to keep up with the growing children (been there done that LOL) let alone everything you have going on. Now just relax a little and all else will fall into place, just don't let it fall on your head LOL!

Welcome back. We've missed you. I'm glad you are healed up and your kids are ok. Dave's has grown a lot since you were gone but seems to be attracting a lot of wonderful people as usual. There's lots of new forums and features too, still a really great place. Chat is on twice a week, look for a smiley face icon below the Dave's Garden logo on Tuesday and Thursday.
