Insignis Pink in the garden

This is from Glory. TiG, it's the "big stick" I had in Bill's truck last Christmas, lol. I had to share as I took my morning walk this morning.

surely you didn't overwinter this in the ground?

So pretty.

A beautiful flower, Cala. It has well formed flowers. Wonder if the corolla edge will be even darker in summer.
The inflated calyx gives it a special note.

Cala,
The "Big stick" has truned into a beauty.

Isn't it though Glory? TiG, I wintered it in the green house, put it in the ground in April and then worried about the frost.

Saint Petersburg, FL(Zone 9b)

Look all that worrying paid off

Cala, you sure have a lot of brugs blooming. I think you're winning. LOL.

Cala, when you cut this one back in the fall, I'd sure like a start of it. Mine from up north didn't make it. Can't remember for sure who I got it from, but the cuttings didn't look right when I got them. They were very nobby and misshapen. Just wouldn't start for me. Anyway, I'll write you more toward fall if that is okay and beg again. Thanks......S :-)

OK, just let me know when you are ready for it. I can check tomorrow, I may have one already started.

Thanks Cala, you are the best.
