Strange things are happening.**

This is a foliage mutation on a suaveolens hybrid I did a few years back..has white flowers , i call it "Moonshine" I think I'll change it to "Shining Moon" sounds better...The normal foliage is smooth edged with no teeth..look what it has on a few branch tips now!!!Goodness!
LOL

I like it!!!

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

I really like the serration on this plant. Do you think it will stay or go back to smooth edge? Wonder if you took cuttings if it would produce all serrated leaves?

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Pretty leaves.. I like it..

Rapid City, SD(Zone 5b)

Cool!

WOW!!! Oakleaf Brugmansia! I hope you save this one regardless of the flower apperance. I never saw such beautiful leaves in a Brug before lol save it, save it, save it! LOL

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Boy, that is what I call TEETH!! Great looking leaves, even if they are supposed to be smooth edged.

Antrim, Northern Ire, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

Tony I was about to suggest Oakleaf but dare I suggest use a form of the Latin Quercifolius or something like that meaning oak leaved

That what you call a serrated leaf!!!!

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

Kyle, that is great, I wonder if it will continue in next generations.

Very interesting, Kyle. You'll have to take cuttings and see what happens to them. Is the environment different now for this plant?

Saint Petersburg, FL(Zone 9b)

you just mite get a different color on thoughs branches would be interesting a multi color brug with out a graft cool

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Environment is the same..it just went CRAZY!! LOL Will wait with baited breath to see what kind of floers come on these two or three goofy branches.Would love to finally see a true Chimera that has different colored flowers. Will wait and see.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Eclipse, that's so cool!! I love those leaves. I have a Peaches and Cream that's doing a weird sport on one branch. The APHIS inspector saw it and thought it might just have enough green to survive. It's a cream leaf with one green stripe down the middle!! The odd branch has made another branch and it's the same, cream with one stripe. Wonder if it's the weird weather we've had this spring?

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Calalily wait and see if it keeps doing that..if so try rooting a small piece after it gets large enough to make several cuttings..just as something to fall back on.Sounds like Hosta markings!!:-)

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Eclipse, that's what it reminded me of, a hosta!!

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Cala, root the cuttings by air layering. Dont cut them off the motherplant. Mme Blin did this with a variegated Tiara branch and all cuttings died. She hopes, the motherplant will bring a new variegated sprout this year.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Calalily get a good pic of the branch for us!!!... :-)

Co.Wicklow, Ireland(Zone 8b)

Calla....Also pinch out the tips of the other normal variegated branches! This will encourage the sport (Chimera)branch to grow faster!

Best of luck,

Bruno

Thanks guys. I got a picture, I'll upload it to a new post. Eclipse, I hope yours does good too!!

Hamilton, Canada

Okay now I've seen everything...

Kyle that baby has some BIG toofus...lol. Me thinks it looks more like a Chestnut leaf than an Oak leaf. I think you should have this one tissue cultured and grown for posterity.

Cala,
If I were you I think I would cut back all of the growth except the variegated branches and let them take over the plant. Yup, looks like Hosta leaves to me. This is another one I would have tissue cultured for posterity too.

Do you and Kyle have something going on that you aren't sharing with us...LOL?

Well, there is a nuclear waste dump not far from here.
