Side view of EP x Rothkirch flower

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

This new cross has many good points. Early flowering with typical versicolor habit, flowering in flushes. It seems to be very vigorous. The rest of the seedlings take their time. They have no Y yet.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

I bring this thread to your attention; the second EP x Rothkirch has its first flower. But it has only one flower but almost the same in size and color. The picture will be posted in a few days.

Monika, you are so lucky to have two. These are to-die-for hybrids and you make them so beautyful. Is the second seedling having its flower in the first Y?

FSH, TX

I am absolutely in love with this cross. Heres hoping its sibling is twice as good.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Beautiful! And you make it sound so easy. I guess the years of experience shows.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Tonny: It has its first flower in the Y and a second in the next Y above.

Eric: all plants of this cross differs a little bit, but not much. The flowers are much more sturdy as of EP.

FSH, TX

Just had to ask, are you crossing the siblings to each other and back to their parents as well or...?

Monika, this cross is absolutely lovely, can't wait to see the next pictures. Drooling like Oscar does.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Eric, I will not cross them back to each other but I pollinated Rothkirch with EP. Crossing back will strenghten the unwanted growth habit of Rothkirch.
