This seedling opened all his buds at once. I like the shape and the color of the flowers.
First bloom of EP x Rothkirch
Thank you, Tonny. It could be a x candida.
wow, another beauty!!!! someone must get Rothkirch into the groups hands. Cala!!!!!
Yes, Cala. LOL
I'm working on it, lol. Monika, is it too hot to ship now?
At the moment, yes. Summer made a good start, hope, it continues and stays including September. For two days, the weatherman keeps telling us about severe thunderstorms with heavy rains, hail and storm. Last night, I pulled all my trees out of the Allee and brought them into shelter. We got nothing but even hotter today. Now the weatherfront is supposed to come in tomorrow with all its nice attachments. Therefore, my trees and shrubs are still under roof.
Cala,
Did we ever find out if it is Ok to receive Brugs seeds into the US from other countries without the quarantine?
Monika, congratulations on still another beauty. What will it's name be?
I dont know the name yet.Thinking about it.
this is what brug dreams are made of!!!
Glory, the last thing I heard about it was a post from Eric with a hyperlink to ABADS website, where it was stated, that is now was legal to import Brugmaniia seeds into the US without paperwork. I re-checked the link today, but the textpiece stating that has been removed ... I don`t know, what I means??? I think of writing Vicki Personally to inquire about, what happened to it.
Tonny,
I was on that site yesterday and it didn't say it was illegal to ship seeds into the USA....is there any European sites that sell seeds?
Jeanne,
Thanks...I wasn't sure what was going on with the Brug seeds.
The APHIS inspector was here again today. I asked him about brug seeds, and he said I need an import license and they need a phyto certificate if they are coming from Canada, UK or EU. NO seeds are allowed from India, Colombia or any third world country. That's what he said and I figured he should know.
Cala, How many times do they inspect?
Cala,
Thanks for asking.
I'm not sure, but my regular inspector did an inspection, he thought it would be good enough for them, but the APHIS guy wanted to come back. He turned over every leaf. He said he couldn't believe he didn't find one bug at all, and no virus. He was impressed with the health of the brugs. He even held paper under the leaves looking for spider mites or thrips. There weren't any.
You should be very proud Cala. There's not many greenhouses that have such a great bill of health.Of course we could have saved him the trip and told him we knew you had healthy plants.LOL
