Need help Fast

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

I have been noticing all week that one of my larger Brugs. is wilting in the afternoons when it is hot. Now a week later one branch of the Y is not perking up even overnight. I am wondering if I should cut below that wilted area on that branch. The other branch of the Y looks fine. I am not sure which Brug this is, but think it is the Charles Grimaldi. I also have realized that I was probably keeping it too wet.

I'd just give it time to dry out some and see if it won't come back. Too wet is worse than a little dry. I've seen my brugs wilt more than once due to being dry and it doesn't seem to hurt them. A good shot of water then will bring them right back. Good luck!!

I had one do that last year. One side of the Y just kept wilting. I'd kept the plant too wet and not enough sun. I finally cut the bad part off,(disinfecting the clippers after) and it recovered. It's still a bit onesided.

Today I moved my Charles Grimaldi from soil where it had been planted for 10 days into a large pot 16x16/ I found it was getting too hot in the afternoon. It was where the sun hit it about 4:00pm, actually I thought it was a good position but obviously too hot. Put the pot on south side of house where it will receive only some sun. It was loaded with blooms and buds, and I expected it to wilt, the temp. here this afternoon was 82 degrees but it looks good.

Well , this morning when I went out to check the Brug. after having cut off the side of the Y that was wilted. The
entire plant was wilted. I tore it out. I figured it was better to do that than take a chance on a virus attacking all the rest of my Brugs.

Gosh, that is too bad, but probably the safest thing to do.
