My Brugie :)

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Okay, how am I doing? This is one of Brugie's seed grown Brugs, that she generously added to a trade a month or so ago. I have it in a large pot, added blood meal and bone meal and water it with sea food emulsion. It is sitting in full sun and the color seems good to me. My two year old did make me a boquet of the three largest leaves that were on it. LOL So, when am I going to see a Y or blooms on this? I know about Datura, but this is my first Brug. :) Thanks Brugie.

Michele, I hope you are lucky enough to see bloom this year. This plant was a late starter. I'd guess it would be late fall before you see any thing, but these plants can really surprise a person. I have some in my garden, not the same ones, that are about 18 inches tall and have Y'd. Fantasma (shredded white) has a nice bud on it even. Don't be afraid to feed your brug more. They are hogs.

I wanted to bump this back up since today I noticed I have a Y and at least one itsy bitsy bud! Wooo Hooo. By the way Brugie, it is almost five feet tall! Guess I am doing okay, huh? I ended up putting it in the ground at the end of the water garden/pond I just put in. The other 4-5 that I have are starting to take off, but they were pretty small. Guess I may need homes for them as the cooler weather sets in. I need to start thinking about doubles. LOL

I think you have the hang of it! Growing brugs and getting them to bloom. Wish you all the luck in the world.
