Logee's id on brugs? there's one I want, and it's not too expensive, just want to make sure I get what I order.

well, it's Species, and of course Cala said she'd start me one. But if I got this one (provided shipping isn't too much) then I can help spread it around correctly id'ed. I'm really thinking my two mid sized ones are C. double white. If I got one from Logee's now, it could bloom before fall, and then I could take cuttings to share.
I think I have Species from Eric. At least that is what I understood it to be. When it grows up I will share cuttings, but will have to be sure that is what it is. I am pretty sure that Eric would have this one ID'd right.
Forgot to say that Renee got an EP from Logee's and it ended up being FP. I'm sure that it was just a bad mistake, but I haven't ordered that many brugs from them. What I have received has been what it was supposed to be. Places to order from are dwindling very fast.

Ms Brugie, if it is from eric's i think it's like mine that i thought was pink, and i don't think it is species. this is my fault, but it seems Eric called them double white, and species. i am just not sure, hate to speak for him. this is how i remember it from the fall, though. MzM posted a pic of "species" on GW today and said the skirt hadn't fallen out yet. i sent her some too. i feel implicit in the dissemination of false brug info!!!!!!!!!! kicking myself where ever that foot will reach.
One of mine is from Eric, and the one from Cala is identical. and the leaves are slightly serrated. and I'd really hate to order one and it be wrong too.
Boy, I may have gobs of Candida Dbl. Whites when they all start blooming. Well, they will be pretty anyway. My garden will glow at night, right? Arlene, whatever it ends up being, I'll love it because it is from you. Snow, the one you sent me........is there any question about it? If you know for sure it is the Candida Double White, then I can use it to compare. Are we having fun yet? I thought we were all through when we got the expert opinions on the CG/JO vs. DS............ :-) Who would have thought the doubles would cause us questions.......
I can't wait for mine to bloom, but I had really wanted Species, I'd fallen in love with it last year.
well, I'll just wait on Cala, and in the meantime I think one of mine might bloom and then she can send me the one I don't have:)
I do have enough brugs to last a bit, I think. just want them all!

nope, not even :) I had hoped that the things from NH would help me get a head start on some hybridizing, but that fell through. Don't have to have every named one, but there are certain ones that I feel are vital to a good collection. and species is one. As is C. double white, I'm not putting it down, I'm sure it's going to be lovely.
whew!!! I ain't paying over 10 dollars to have one plant shipped to me. I will enjoy what I have and trade in the fall!!!
tiG, just got our electricity back on again. High winds here.Just read this post. I have a Species that I bought at Logees in Feb. It has Y'd and has buds on it. Let me look tomorrow and see if it has any side shoots I can cut off.If it does I'll send it to you.
Brugie, the c. double White I gave you I received last year from MsJen.That's what she said it was. It has serrated velvety leaves which is very different from the Logees Species that I have.

(BIG SIGH) I think "Species" is THE brug i want most, and I've killed every one I've gotten my hands on! I'm just assuming I've always had the 'correct' one, since I've never gotten a bloom. If any of y'all successsfully propagate this one, can I get on your trade list?
Judith, did the one i sent you die? i never heard from you that you received the brugs, sent to your moms. thought it had plenty of roots on it.
Thanks Snow. I like the double whites a lot and I'm not all that particular about the kinds I have, just as long as I have one. Will do some comparing later down the line. Have to get to bloom stage first and that is going to be a while. Hope your brugs are doing well outside now.
tiG I have that plant from Logees...doesn't bloom well for me.....But got it from them when it came out.I will give it one more summer to preform well and then stay or toss. :-)
Shirley, the Brugs never made it out this weekend. Only the Sangs are planted out and one white Brug and I'll have to cover them tonight and hope for the best.Going down into the low 30's tonight.
Oh Terry, I feel so badly for you. I know how anxious you are to get the plants outside. I've found several that have Y'd for me and Shredded white has a bud now. But......the best thing that has happened is that we finally got to eat some fresh spinach from the garden. Boy, it was so good. Makes me think that spring is really here and I'm not so worried about the brugs freezing their little feet now.
Can't believe you guys are freezing!! It was 82 at 6:30 this morning.
Just looked Cala. It's 50 degrees right now and there's another frost warning for tonight. I can't believe it. :(
Only supposed to get in the 60's today.Went out to check the Brugs in GH and it's cold out with wind blowing.
