Just collected them...
Poppysue, your seeds are ready :)
Wow - Evert!! The seeds are ripe already?? Is the plant done blooming now? I'll see what I can find for you.
Yep, there are still 4 seedpods coming. :) This is from the first flower. :D
Evert, that is a real good photo.
What sorte of seeds/ pod is that?
cristina
No it isn't very good photo, the flash made it look a little 'un-balanced'. ;) It is Papaver radicatum. Want some seeds too? http://davesgarden.com/showthread/244047.html
Evert, I went to view your link and it is amasing: they're growing in the rock ! Do you feed them or they get by with what they can gather?. Do they need very cold winter or they would thrive anywhere. If it is yes and if you got left over seeds , yes, I'd like some. i'm still in autumn so, I'll have some time to wait for any seeds sowing.
I'll mail you.

Yep, our 'yard rock' :) Nice place to grow rock and apline plants but too dry and hot on very warm days. And hard to water the plants. No, I don't feed the plants in rock garden, or, maybe only few times in the summer if they look like needing some fertilizer. You have to water them pretty often, the soil dries fast.
I think they need a 'cool' winter, not sure though. As this is from artcic areas, I think... how cold is it there on winter usually? (minimum temp.) Here it was about -28 C last winter in Dec-Jan.
Ok, waiting for your email ;)
Evert,
I would love some of your poppy seeds if you have any to spare. I can trade some black combinine seeds which are from this year. Let me know if you are interested.
