marked creamsickle. i'm thinking it will be more the double peach?
more shame, another mismark?
Arlene that is pretty. I like the bloom and color. Did you receive this one mismarked and does that mean you don't have creamsickle or were you the one that mismakred? As hard as I have tried, I have gotten some confused because I could not remember what marker came out of which pot when I was transplanting. I get so aggravated at myself sometimes. I am really very particular and I still mess up.
Frannie, with my record, it was likely me, however i have never seen either bloom and have never seen a pic of creamsickle. the calyx fell off and the insides split the corolla out. another bloom will open in a day or two, hopefully it won't be such a mess. it looks so long without a corolla on it.
anyway, this is the one i marked creamsickle (triple shame on me)
Hopefully creamsickle will show up. Nevertheless this is a pretty flower and I bet it the next flower will be really pretty with the calyx on it. I did notice that this one split its britches!! By the pink cuttings are doing great.
Arlene - I can't believe you're apologizing for a double peach! I'd be thrilled with a double peach.
I have a feeling we're going to have a bunch this summer that aren't what they're marked. So long as they aren't all Frosty Pink - we might get some nice surprises.
You're right Liz, or Dr. Suess.
Frannie, no, i know there was no mix up between the creamsickle and double peach. (i think i know). i'm hoping the color will be a little richer tomorrow, was whiter yesterday. i don't have any of the "other" which i think must be creamsickle. sent to eric and CC. mine died. CCs looked good though, good roots, i was surprised since i had a terrible time trying to root it.
According to NH's catalog, Creamsickle resembles Species but color streaks through the bloom until it is orange. Either one will suit me just fine. I sure hope we don't go through another round with FP and DS/CG/Jo. Mainly because, what I've got is it for me. I refuse to order another brug until I've figured out how to take care of what I've got. I have an alley that is about 50 ft. long. Of course, the brugs won't get tall and be straight like Monika's are, but if the bugs don't get them, I should have a pretty brug garden to look at later this summer. Sure crossing my fingers for one anyway. Most of the thanks goes to all of you who have helped me with my addiction. If my last order comes in, I'm going to be in big trouble for space. What a great kind of trouble though. Bet I would find the room someplace. Now, who is rambling? Sorry!!
Brugie . . . your brug alley will surely be beautiful. You must post a picture later when they are in bloom. 50 feet - wow what an alley. Definitely will be beautiful and also, I just bet that you will find a place if those new brugs finally come!! LOL
You know what we all are, you know? - brug enablers. I refuse to feel bad about that.
Liz, lol...
Arlene, that is one splendid looking brug.
That one is a real beauty!
Jean
Whatever one it is Arlene it's a beauty. You are lucky to have a colored double.
Liz . . you are absolutely correct . . we are all brug enablers. LOL That is why we all feel so comfortable here including myself because no one else understands!!!
What have I missed? What is a double peach?
it looks more orange today, it may be creamsickle. wish i knew somesomething! it looks really pretty all in all, considering the split and missing calyx.
Arlene,
How about taking another picture of it today.
