Defrag?? How often/

I just realized I have had my iMac since August and have Never defragged. EW! it said I was "severe" when I put ole norton Utilities in there... I do run Norton. So. it muched away for about 45 minutes. It feels such much better now!
So., How ofter do you defrag??
