I feel the same way Gloria, and we are on water restrictions here. every other day, and only 10pm to 10am. I have water in everything I can get it in for tomorrow:)

Not much rain here either. There have been clouds. Yes, but not a drop in a long time. Ruth told, that there has been some rain in Sorø. Wish it was here :O) I have been out every third day with the (what is this in English ... a long tube made of plastic, where you attach one end to the water supply and use the other to water lol here its called a vandslange lol vand is water and slange is snake, ... so a watersnake lol is it what you call it? No, I can`t imagine lol

we are also on water restriction but june is the start of the tropical rain season. you can only water with a sprinkler system once a week but can hand water as needed

Tonny - it's called a hose.
Believe it or not - here on the wet coast June1 we go on water restrictions to. Doesn't rain much during the summer here. I get to water between 5am and 7am and 7pm to 9pm on Wednesday and Saturday. But thank goodness we're not on water meters.
Irish - is June the beginning of hurricane season for you? Boy, after reading MaVieRose's conditions and your hurricanes (although I hear you have great hurricane parties)and Monika's cold mountain and everybody else's climates it's amazing that we are all growing the same plants.

tiG, maybe you could invest in a deep kids pool. They hold a lot of water. We have never been restricted on water usage. Came close one year. Have burn bans quite frequently though. I'm lucky. We have a sistern that catches all the runoff from the house roof. It holds over a 1000 gallons of rain water. It usually takes me a couple of months to use it up because we have rains to keep replenishing it until mid July.

we have two extra 55 gallon trash cans that I have filled with water. I'll see tomorrow just how much of it I need on the off day. just hope the restrictions stay at that, and not go on total outdoor watering ban. what would I do!!!!!!!!!!

People around here who have not hooked up to rural water and whose wells run dry, go to town with a new septic tank in the back of their trucks and fill up with rural water for 25 cents for 100 gallons. Doing my math, that figures out to $2.50 per 1000. We have rural water and have to pay a minimum of $18 for 2000 gallons. Something wrong with this picture. However, the convenience is worth something. Let's just hope it doesn't come down to a total ban for you. That would be devestating. You would have to save all the water from your baths, laundry, etc. to water the brugs.

hubby is willing to set up where I can save the water from the laundry if we have to. he said it would take too much work to tie into the sinks and bath, so that's out. So if we do go on a total water ban, I bet I have the cleanest clothes in the state!! LOL!!
we'll be okay, I just know it. xxxxxxx (those are not kisses, they are my fingers crossed)

it's raining here right now....time 4:51 am CST.
