Ecuador just starting to bloom

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

There were 4 or 5 fully open blooms this morning. I was grabbing all the pollen to use on Whiskers. I also pollianted these open blooms with Whiskers pollen. I used some of the EP pollen on a few Species blooms too.
EP is hard to pollinate before the bloom opens, or at least for me it is. The stigma is way up inside the anthers.

Absolutely beautiful and a great shot. Can't wait for mine to bloom as there's some blooms I'd really like to pollinate with EP.

beautiful.. :( I dont have EP in my collect! But my Frosty Pink are bloom now..

Very nice - this year it sounds like the blooms won't be allowed to just be beautiful - they're going to have to earn their keep by going to work.

Cala,
Again...you have outdone yourself. That is another beauty.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

OHHH I can't wait for mine to grow....and bloom!

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

A beautiful flower. Its breathtaking to see EP in full bloom.

Its beautiful, Cala. I had the oppotunity to grow it from cuttings thrice, but everytime they rooted (not rooted). Does this one also bloom in a sudden flush?

I have three large EP plants and they are all just loaded with buds. I will take a picture when they open, which should be in the next few days.

Calalily When you prune in the fall let me know would love a cutting

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

My Ecuador Pink died over the winter, but I had taken a cuttings, so I'll still have one. Will just be a little later than I had hoped for. Do you have lots of buds on your plants, Cala? I was disappointed in mine last year. Not a lot of bloom at one time. Maybe because it was so young?

Brugie, these have bunches of buds.
Irish, I'll take you a cutting as soon as I find a limb without a bud, lol.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

mine is still a baby, but I'm hoping for great things. It's the slowest grower I've got right now. But of all the blooms I've seen in person and in pictures, this is still my favorite.

TiG, give it some Osmocote and a dose or two of Miracle Grow, and it will grow a little faster.
