Hi, My watrfall or Stream comes from a bog filter at the top of a bank, it is tear drop shaped and it is my Bio-filter. It is 24 inches deep and full of gravel, pea pebbles, lava rock, and this man made little rock things that help with your PH. Got the idea from Alhanks. (YOu could look at some of his pic's and get ideas, or email him and he'll be glad to help, he really was a lifesaver to me) The stream (waterfall) is about 10-15 ft long and we just dug it out and lined it with a pool liner and filled it in with rocks. If it has a drop gravity will take over. We ran a garden hose from our pump under ground and up the hill and it works great. Tell me a little more about what you are trying to do and my hubby could probably give you some good advice. I have seen where a lady had one pond and a waterfall going to her 2nd pond and she used one of those things that you put under where your gutter lets the water out at the ground level. Ya know like a splash preventer. She disquised it with small rocks and that just got the water out of the first pond and into the waterfall. Please do tell me more of what you are trying to accomplish and I'll talk to my DH and I'm sure we could help in some way!
Thanks, Traci S
Hi. I have 3 ponds that are connected by a stream. I also have them on a small hill. I have a 100 gallon pond that overflows into a 260 gallon. That one flows into a stream (about 10 ft) and into a 1080 gallon pond. I have a pump that has a tube connected that pumps water up the hill back into the 100 gallon to a waterfall. I bought pvc pipe and made a line that runs underground to carry the flow of water. Was very simple to do and very nice to look at.
