Hughesville, MO(Zone 5a)

There is a hint of spring in the air this morning. I finally found the rest of the bean seeds about 9"30 last night so I'll put them in the soil this morning. I just hate it when I know I had been organized(for once)and put something 'up' and then can't figure out where 'up' is. But the seeds were in a pail I had used along with the trowel, etc. I had used for the job on Sunday afternoon. I must have walked past that pail 5 times but didn't think to look in it for the seeds.
I caught 2 mice in a trap yesterday. It all started when I saw movement in a small potted hosta over by the 'keet' cage. I knew we had mice over there but hadn't caught any in the catch alive trap. So I got a snap type trap, baited it with peanut butter and went on my way. The first one was caught with in the first hour and the second one a couple hours later. No more since then tho. They apparently were living in an old 286 computer on the shelf there. Actually its the top of a built-in wood box that is part of the house design. Made of solid red cherry or walnut. There is a door on the outside of the house to load the wood into the box. There are doors on the living room side that let you take the wood out and use it in the fireplace. None of this takes place anymore and there is a sheet of steel and heavy insulation is over the opening of the fireplace. Just too much work and not enough heat into the room. I have the top of the box covered with a sheet of vinyl floor covering to protect the wood.
Poor Shad came home with a bad sore throat. He thought it was due to the extremely dry air in his other family's home. But it has continued and is worse this morning. I also think allergies could be playing a part in it. They have 4 cats in the house at all times. I could be wrong of course. We also have cats in the house, but they are usually in a different room and not even in the house during good weather. Anyway, I'm going to start him on Echinecea, extra Vit. C, and a good multivitamin with iron. He is so miserable this morning. I hate to take him to a doctor is we can get out of it. I't a $20 co-pay just to walk in the door as well as the co-pay on the medicines.
I need to get going and see how much I can accomplish today. I'm going to Powell Gardens tomorrow to help lift tulip and daffodil bulbs and put in other plants more in season for the summer. Normally this would have taken place a couple weeks ago, but the weather has prevented it.
GOD bless and keep each and all of you. This may seem repatitious but I am sincere each time I type it. I lift each of you before JESUS and the FATHER in my mind and spirit and pray the Prayer of Jabez over each of you daily. as well as asking for protection, guidence, strength, and favor in every area in your lives.
