Hello farmers. It is a day to remember those who sacraficed for our freedom and we are very thankful. We have a beautiful day today after a pretty good rain last evening. Hubby (and I) have a new toy/tool, a riding lawn mower. Missionary friends of ours who are overseas had it for sale and in storage and we bought it. It is the latest weapon in the war on weeds, mainly a broad leaf weed called white top that is in bloom. Nothing eats it and we just have more of it every year. I am going to have a ton of mulch for another compost pile, hubby is out on it now mowing a patch in the pasture. My weekend ride went well, one of our team couldn't make it so we ended up doing the 75 miler and finished 1st, 2nd, 3rd. I was 2nd, a big surprise for one who rides quite conservatively and usually is in the slower part of the pack. Actually my speed wasn't much different so I guess the competition was slower. Time now to get back outside, I have a lot of catching up to do. Have a good day, count your blessings.
