Well, how about that, it's just a baby but I have a bud. This is from Arlene and it is Suavolens Pink. It is only about 2 ft tall though. Just one bud, and ya know, I leave for CA tomorrow, so I won't even get to see it bloom, bummer. Maybe DH will take a picture, yea sure, like he will know, he thinks it's all weeds.
Brug bud
Dee, DS calls them sticks..."all you do is go outside and look at your stick plants".... hope you have fun in California. if there's one bud, there'll be another by soon....
creamsickle lost its calyx and has a split in the corolla. gonna peak later and see if that split is a hint as to where i can pollinate at. it looks so funny without the corolla, so big. i have about 3 grains of butterfly pollen, if the wind dies down might try to stick it on it.
Arlene,
Did your Creamsickle bloom?
It's trying too. lost calyx, split in the corolla, day or two i guess.
Arlene . . . be sure and post a picture of Creamsickle when it opens. Do you still have your double orange or did you send it to Eric? I still have not received the double orange that I ordered - - maybe anytime now.
Dee, How long are you going to be gone? Looks to me like you will still be able to see the bloom if you aren't gone over a week or so. Can't see the whole thing, but doesn't look quite ready to open from what I can see.
Shirley, I leave tomorrow and I won't be home until 8 Jun. The bud just popped out in the last couple of days and doesn't look anywhere near ready to open, but I think it should before I get back don't you??
Hey Dee, if it does open, have George take a picture and send it to you. You won't get the fragrance, but would see the first one of the season........Seems like I've been waiting for a long time for the Suess buds to open and they still are no where close.
