My candida pink isn't. just checked on the blooms, there's a double in there. this plant has been labeled candida pink since last fall, i am so upset. i was so careful, i thought, with the labeling, and you can't really confuse candida leaves with others. am wondering if that candida pink is around here and may yet bloom, but with my luck probably not. to those who think you have a candida pink from me, i am guessing it is double white/species. i am sorry and will send you something else.
If anyone does have a candida pink, please email me, will make you a good trade.
Wanted - - Candida Pink and apology to those who think you h
Well shucks!! However, I can always use a double white species anyway. No problem here Arlene. I hope someone has one that you can get a start from. I know that you really like the Candida brugs.
Oh Arlene, I know how disappointed you must be. I love the candidas also and thought the pink would be so pretty. If the one you sent is a double white, that's ok. Don't fret about this too much and you do not need to send me anything else. This could happen to anyone and it is so sweet of you to be concerned but I don't want you worrying too much about this. Hopefully, the candida pink will turn up somewhere in your yard or someone out there has a cuttings to trade.
since I don't have the book, can someone post pictures of the different leaves? a candida, a sauvolens, an aurea, any that are distintive?
Arlene,
I think I have a Candida Pink....not sure and if I do It may have come from Eric....would this be right?
Yes, and here's the truth guys!! i was stingy with that candida pink, got it when i picked up a bunch of double whites/species, solid gold, a couple of other kinds and sent them to you, mzm, tig, and a local trader to pass on and trade. i didn't keep much of the other stuff because i had too many plants to deal with anyway. don't know if it's maybe a plant that hasn't bloomed, or i dreamt it, or someone else ended up with it labeled as the wrong thing (how embarrassing). my local trading friend might have a piece of it, will have to check with her.
Glory, don't know if you saw the pic eric posted of it, but it is absolutely gorgeous..... the leaves in his pic looked like mine, but i guess species/double white and shredded white have similar thick, velvety leaves unless they are planted in a lot of sun?
would really like to get a piece of that.
if I have it, I've mislabeled it. I will double check again, but just took an inventory the other day, and don't have that. :( so sorry, I wish I could help. I did lose a lot right before I got to put them outside.
Arlene,
I'll check my flowerbed this afternoon and see if I have that Candida Pink. Yes, Species, Double White, Shredded White and even Golden Lady all have the thick downey leaves.
Just ran out and found one named Kyle Knight Candida Pink....leaves are downey but very little....nothing like the ones I mentioned above....to small to bloom yet.

Glory, that sounds like eric's hybrid, Kyle's pink. have one of those, a huge fat cat is devouring the leaves, hopefully it will get full before it gets to the buds.
I did find 2 brugs in pots, candida type leaves, hopefully candida pink is in one of those but i doubt it. wish i had my old email files or kept better records.
