Tonny,
pls kindly help to identify this lovely plant. last year, i got this on a trade. the trader claimed it is a brugmansia. i have doubts cause the leaves looks similar to datura leaves. this wintered over outside to 10 deg. F. it never did bloom last year. i was surprise it came back to life this year. the bud is 8" long, the bloom is 6" in circumference. it has a very lovely fragrance that permeates the garden with its lemony scent. here is the link to show the entire series of opened bloom... http://toshiba.shutterfly.com/osi.jsp?i=67b0de21b300753de44d¬ag=1 . do view as a slide.
this is the biggest datura flower i've ever seen. before the bud opened it was 15" long. it was greyish in color. as it was ready to open, it was light lavender in shade. when the flower opened it has lilac color along the edges. as the flower opened, is lilac along the edges and the tendrils. the center is creamy white in color in the center.
deeply appreciate ur assistance to solve the mystery of this plant. thanks!!!!

Tonny pls. Help ID
no need to be sorry, am greatful to be able to identify this wonderful flower. i never thought that datura can be big as this one. all along, i thought datura flowers are small. this was a total surprise to me. i do not see any shade of yellow on this one. perhaps in the daytime i will see more color to it. it opened late this evening.
over the winter this plant... i thought died. i was totally suprise for it to come to life again. there were 3 more that came to life. i wonder if they are all the same. will post photo of flower when they come up. the other ones are vigorously growing.
thank you so much for help me ID this one. do U know the specie name, if not is is ok.... just curious.
