Good Morning Everyone,
Had a ewe that settled late and lambed yesterday. She had lots of trouble and I had to help her out. I really thought the lamb would be born dead. But I was there, got him breathing quickly. He seems strong and healthy.
I think I have mentioned some time ago that I have a neighbor that gives me lots of trouble about a boundary line. We are having it surveyed at lots of expense to ourselves to settle the dispute. It is almost more of a dispute between her and our leasor. My husband had talked to the surveyors almost two months ago. We had gotten to the furious stage, hubby finally called and told them if they wanted our business they needed to get it done or we would get someone else. They started it yesterday.
We got a nice little rain last evening. I had set out some poppies and other new perennials last week and I have been watering them everyday almost. They are really looking perky. My irises are getting through the peak period and I need to have some other flowers to perk me up. I have planted a few lillies, hibiscus and so forth, but they are new here and need a few years before they make anyone slow down when they go by my house.
My little bottle calf stays with the herd and comes to the house when she's hungry. She was shivering this morning. I have to wonder when it will warm up. I am really not looking forward to hot weather , but this coolness has to be a record.
Lisa, Get unpacked girlfriend. We miss ya.
