Red LA from seed

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I was amazed at the different colors I got from these seed. It was a pod from a named pink one crossed with a purple. My friend Ruby is going to save me more seed this year. She hybridized these, not me. She saves the seed for me and I share with her. She loves LA Iris too.
Michele, as soon as they make babies, I'll share with you too because I know you love the iris.
BTW, the blue is the rim of a wading pool. I made it into a bog garden. I couldn't decide where I wanted to dig to put one in the ground, so I used this pool.

Hee hee, finally got the drivers installed for my camera. I'm using a new Adobe program for my camera and I love it. It's so much easier than Corel Photo House.

These are Louisianna Iris, sort of like Japanese Iris. They come in more varied colors but the blooms aren't as large as the German/Bearded ones. The blooms are "flat".
