I'm trying to find some information on pond lilies. What I'm finding are words like "tropical" "dayblooming" "perennial and annual" (lilies?) Can any one point me in the right direction

LOWDOWN ON POND LILIES
tropical means they can't for the most part winter over in cold places. I've had some live over, and some not.
dayblooming means they open about 10 am and close about 4 pm
nightblooming open as the sun goes down.
perennial or 'hardy' lilies can take the winter, just drop them in the lowest part of pond.
annual I dont' know, must mean tropical?
