when I am her at dave's I am all over the place. At a moving sale this week-end I found some good buys. I found a turtle sand box that I thnk would make a good small pond. it's heavy plastic and has a cover that would cover for the winter.I thought I would put it by the garage where I would have access to elec & water. I have outside filters that I used on 20 gallon acquariums and was wondering if I could use them more or less, as airation? I have to use what resources I have. AND>>> If I flushed all the powder off of decorative stone..white quartz type.. could I use that to cover the bottom of pool? Gold fish would really show up.I am gathering info for now and will work with getting plants started around it for now'. it will be in a shady place with a little morning and afternoon sun. I thought about planting virginia creeper to surround it and grow upon the brick wall of the garage. Sorry I'm getting a-head of myself, but I can't wait to get started. I want to get it right the first time Any advice? e-me at tink76627@yahoo.com "daves garden" in subject box so I won't delete.:) :) :)
SCATTER-BRAIN
I think it might be too shallow. The water will get too warm for fish.....some plants might like it!
crestedchik,I know gold fish can take cold water well but I didn't think about how warm the water would get in summer. see? now thats the info I need ,before I get into it too deeply The "pool" will be about 8-10" deep.I read that there are shallow water plants so I will be looking into that. thanks for input!
