Hoya as groundcover?

I'm reorganising my conservatory, hoping to get things in the right place so they can get established. I have a border in which I stand large pots or put small plants in directly, and there's a lot of bare earth. I have a hoya carnosa variegata cutting which likes to droop everywhere, and I wondered whether I could use this as groundcover between the pots. What do you think?

Why not give it a try if your hoya is not happy you can move it into a hanger or in a pot on a stand. I have several hoyas not sure what variety it isbut I train them on wires in different shapes. Have you ever had one bloom???

I have a Hoya climbing up a trellis, and that has flowered for the past two years. I took the cutting to see how easy it was, and now I have to do something with it. It doesn't exactly climb by itself, so I can't see why it shouldn't be just as happy creeping on the ground. Perhaps it would root as it goes, and I'd get lots of new plants as well.
