I finally saw one!

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I was out in Buffalo Sunday, diving back from the Botanical garden(we go there while the judging at the poultry show is going on,too nerve racking)As we were driving down the road we went by a nursery and there ,in the doorway of the GH was a Brug in full bloom!I screamed "STOP!TURN AROUND"and Chuck, being the wonderful man that he is (LOL) turned around and went back.We went in and what looked like a very tall brug was really very short. It was in a 55 gallon plastic barrel and only stood about 2 1/2 or 3 foot taller than the barrel.I'm not sure of the variety but it looked very CG/JO/DS ,no serrated leaves,no real scent. They had another one in another GH that was also in a 55 gallon drum.it had tons of stalks coming out and when you looked at the base you could see some of the old trunks that had been cut off. They were 3-4 inches across!they did have some plants for sale.Big sign that said"DATURA'S,Angels Trumpets,$14.95.When I asked the owner what variety his "brugmansia" were he said he didn't know,I figure if he knew they were brugmansia, and chose to label them datura, then anything I say won't change things.......But, that was the first time I have seen them for sale !I can't just go to a GH to buy one, there just aren't any!
