Hello farmers. Today started out overcast but now is sunny and about 65*. Yesterday was beautiful all day. I took one of my young horses to the trainer's place. He will be there several weeks. I also spent a lot of time in the vegie garden, planted some beets and chard, and set out 8 tomato plants with wall-o-waters around them. I haven't used those before, I am wondering what will happen if we get strong wind. Does anybody know? The 5 half whiskey barrels got planted yesterday. I think all the herbs will make a pretty planting, if they don't I will have 5 ugly barrels. Today I am hanging out in the house watching horse racing before getting things done outside. If all the ads were cut out a 2 hour program would be pretty short and I would be outside already. Horseracing is not televised often so I watch whenever I am home.
