SYR, I had a daughter named Laura, and she was the joy of my life for 13 years. She died of cystic fibrosis in 1979, and I have been a softie for anything with her name since then. I know it might be difficult for you to grow the Texas Mountain Laurel, Sophora secundiflora, as an outside shrub, but I will plant a seed for you if you have space to keep it inside in winter. It will live quite well in a tub or large pot, it just doesn't get large like it will outside. And it is a slow grower. Let me know! If I start it now, it should be ready to ship in about a month. Or I can send you tons of seeds and you can experiment with them, keeping some inside, some outside, some sheltered, etc.
