What's an easy way to propagate? Stem cuttings in soil?

Hi Jennifer,

Use green tip cuttings from your ficus. Woody stem cuttings are much more difficult to root and are best air-layered (let me know if you need air layering instructions).

Put the tip cuttings in a damp mix of peat moss and perlite in a small pot. If you enclose them in a sealed clear plastic bag, that will hasten the rooting process.

I have an Indoor Plant Bulletin on plant propagation that I will send to you (or anyone else) who requests it.

I do mine from green wood cuttings dipped in rooting hormone and planted directly into potting soil. It works like a charm.
