I have beeen to the data base, and search several pages here but still have a few questions. I received about sid cuttings last fall and kept them alive and thriving in the greenhouse all winter long, one 'stick' has split to two main branches and is about three foot high and looking very good, the others are doing ok as well some not quite as tall. I can't remember therir names other than Versi Peach, and I think one was yellow, and one pink...when should I exspect to see buds forming? SHould I pinch the tops if they have already two main branches? I know they like to eat and drink often, but how large of a pot should they be placed in?
OK, newbie questions
give as large a pot as possible or plant in the ground. You could see buds anytime on the one that has Y'ed. Dont' pinch the tops!!!!!
keep feeding, watering and giving them sun, that one looks great!
Your doing a great job with this one keep it up and do like tiG said feed and water they love to eat
BTW welcome to daves

Guess I need a pigger pot huh?? LOL I figured I would end up needing one eventually, so just water and feeed and wait, Darn was hoping for a better trick than that...being pregnant and all, LOL Thanks!!
well, you can get DH to plant in the ground, and then take a cutting this fall. That's really better if you can do that. Just make sure it's a big hole:)
btw, thinking of you, was just telling my DD about your test results and all. still praying here.
Thanks tiG I sure don't know where we would put one in the ground in my garden! LOL I have almost had to resort to container gardening due to lack of bed space...plus I have to compete with 3 going on four children for yard space!! LOL. If I weren't pregnant I would consider getting rid of the pool, LOL. Does keeping the Brugs in containers keep them smaller?? I know if they are getting enough food and water they will grow no mattrer what, but it would have to restict their growth somewhat.
I've grown almost all of my brugs in pots in the past. They do get bigger in the ground, but I find it hard to water them in our black soil. The water wants to run off. Will use soaker hoses this year and hope that will work. In pots, I can drown them and walk away while it is soaking in. They will still get 5-6 ft. tall in large pots. I used 7-10 gal. last year. My space is becoming very limited for ground or pot plantings of any kind. I just came back from the nursery with more stuff. I truly do have a problem when it comes to having MORE flowers. :-) Good luck with your brugs. They are looking darn good so far.
I have a few buds!! I can't wait to see what color theyare!! I should have a verisi peach , yellow and a pink one!
