couple of days ago saw that my jatropha i let freeze is coming back nicely from the roots. and just a few minutes ago i found a plant i had given up on, dumped the stem and remnants of soil off the deck into the gardenias, and wow....my plumeria is coming back very nicely from the roots, several stalks like brugs do. glad to be in florida, with air conditioning.
2 surprises
Arlene...thats great...sometimes better to hold off digging things up for a while when you think they are dead...they fool ya sometimes....I had afew plants I was gonna throw...and BINGO! they are comming back from the roots. :-)
Eclipse, i was really glad since they are nice plants. i think a lot of people do dig up things before giving them a chance, i probably have also. i don't have time to take care of all the plants i have, which is probably why i didn't pitch them. i have peace lilies that came back from winter frost outside blooming.
Arlene, our winter was so mild we have lots of things I didn't expect to come back.
I have a fuschia that came back real nicely, I was amazed.
I also had some Brugs that I had planted in the ground that is coming back quite nicely. I wonder if it will flower though...seems like it will take so long for the brugs to reach a stage to flower. Will wait and see.
Arlene, am glad that you were surprised by your plants coming back
Pebble, I have a Gartenmeister fuchsia that is coming back and some begonias and vigna. It's nice to get surprises like that.
