The first time I planted brugs (10 years ago), they grew and bloomed and were problem-free-even over-wintered with mulch. Now, in a different time & place, I can't seem to get them going. I only have four, the top leaves are almost gone, but the second layer of leaves is healthy. Should I cut the stem back to the second layer or leave as is? How much feeding do these gals need? I know these are elementary questions but I am "green."
New to Brug problems
Vickie, if you cut them back you'll delay blooms. brugs love fertilizer, very heavy feeders.
