Flagstone Path By Pond

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

My step-cousin generously gave us a bunch of flagstone and assorted other stones last week, enough it took two loads in a pick-up, and we've been working to put a dent in our pile!

Saturday we worked on the area around our pond putting in the flagstone path pictured here. I'll post before pictures in my journal soon. We also lined the edge of the pond liner with stones so the lip could be better concealed. Guess it would make more sense to clean the pond before getting the stones the way I liked them, but I was anxious. ;)

We need to fix a drainage problem where that first huge stone is, and there are a few shallow dips which got a little soggy when we were drenched with rain. The water drained pretty quickly, though, so it may not be an issue.

I'll post the pond pictures in the water gardening forum and in my journal (pages will be linked to from those posts).
