These bovines live on the other side of town from where I commute, so I don't get to see these girls very often... "my" cows are on the hills to the west - but they are also in danger of "simple math" - home developers are paying more for an acre than what the ranchers will make in a lifetime of ranching (we're talking +$1,000,000 an acre in some places). They're holding out for now, but my son's friend's father has already said that his is the last generation of his great grandfather's ranch. So I guess "my" girls' days are numbered, too... Hang in there, everyone. Extra blessings to those of you spitting in the wind ;-)
