Cantonese dipping sauce

I have been trying to find a recipe for this wonderful sweet and sour dipping sauce that I have tasted in cantonese restaurants. It is sometimes red and sometimes orange, but it is sweet and sour and clear. Usually the serving bowl includes a little hot mustard to mix also.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
